Poligrow® is a patented phosphorus and calcium optimizer technology based on omega 3, 6 and 9 oils. In addition to being an emulsifier, it acts as a carrier of calcium and phosphorus ions, forming complexes with these minerals and allowing them to be absorbed through a pathway different from the traditional mineral absorption: the lipid absorption pathway.
From the release of phosphorus trapped in the grain to its absorption by the animal, in four stages.
Phytase breaks down phytate in grains and releases the phosphorus and calcium ions that were bound to it.
The acidic environment of the stomach (in birds) or proventriculus/gizzard transforms Ca and P into free ions.
Through ionic bonding or saponification, forming a soap-like complex of calcium and phospholipids.
The complex forms micelles along with bile salts and fat-soluble vitamins, also increasing the metabolizable energy of the feed.
The two most commonly used sources of calcium and phosphorus today have costs beyond the financial ones.
