GFS, an animal nutrition technology company, invested R$ 55 million in a plant in Apucarana (Paraná), set to open in September. The facility will raise monthly production capacity of its main additive, a calcium and phosphorus optimizer, from 300 to 4,500 metric tons. The additive is patented in Brazil, with an international registration application under way, and it improves how animals use these minerals while reducing the need for phosphate in feed. “By the time it reaches the farm, savings can be R$ 20 to R$ 30 per ton of feed,” says Luis Gelinski, partner and CFO of GFS. Founded in 2019, the company invests about R$ 2 million a year in research and runs six to seven studies annually. According to Gelinski, GFS expects to grow 87% in 2026 compared with last year.

New technologies and cattle enter the equation
Poultry accounts for more than 90% of GFS’s business. The company already served swine producers with fiber solutions, and this year it also began offering products with Poligrow® technology for the segment, which is expected to grow from 2027. Cattle are the next frontier: the company is testing a product for ruminants and is considering launching it in 2026. The strategy is to gradually expand into other animal protein chains, says Gelinski.
Gradual but steady growth
International expansion is one of GFS’s priorities to sustain its growth, along with developing new products and technologies. The company has already started exporting to Asia and Latin America and plans to reach new markets in the coming years.
